Obtaining ISO 9001 certification is a significant achievement and it’s going to take a considerable amount of team work. The organization seeking certification has to exercise a synchronized participation with the consultant, in the implementation process. There are certain variables however, that will facilitate the certification process, just as there are others that will extend the duration, relatively speaking.

From the list above, it is likely that preparation time will increase with the size of your organization, the complexity of its operations and the scope of the proposed certification. In contrast, preparation time will be inversely related to the knowledge level of your personnel, the degree of compliance that already exists within established systems and the resources made available to get the job done.
